CIPAM, under DPIIT, has introduced “Orange Minds”, an IPR lecture series aimed at deepening students’ understanding of intellectual property through a more applied and contemporary lens. Rooted in the concept of the Orange Economy, the initiative recognises that ideas acquire greater value when they are identified, structured, protected, and positioned for use in the real world.
The first phase, scheduled from 16 March 2026 to 10 April 2026, includes six hybrid sessions across institutions such as Delhi University, NIFT Delhi, and NLU Delhi. The series brings together practitioners and industry voices to address subjects including IP enforcement, fashion and design law, music copyright, anti-counterfeiting, commercialisation, and green claims.
By focusing on how IP functions in practice, the series moves beyond doctrinal discussion and highlights the commercial and strategic dimensions of intellectual property. It is a useful initiative for those looking to enter the field with a stronger appreciation of how law, creativity, and business increasingly intersect
